We jump deep into the rabbit hole. With copywriters disguised as Mad Hatters, clients who whisper in riddles, and brand managers who give music briefs through interpretive dance.

We compose, we arrange, we tinker with melodies like squirrels solving a Rubik's Cube—with wide eyes, finesse, and surprising results.

Because between advertising and creative delirium, there's a place where it all makes sense.

Or at least sounds amazing.

Alexis Charpentier

Managing Director & Audio Branding

As Managing Director and strategy lead for Audio Branding, Alexis keeps our sound sharp and our vision sharper. He also founded Music Is My Sanctuary, curates as a music supervisor, speaks at places like TED Talk and MUTEK, and even hosts his own podcast, because sleep is overrated.

Francois Bélanger

Creative Director

François has been shaping soundscapes with us since 2021, bringing award-winning chops in audio branding, music, and sound design. Before that, he tuned up brands at Studios Apollo and Sonart. When he’s not crafting ear candy, he’s busy animating, because why stop at one creative universe?

Vanessa Gauthier

Production Manager, Audio-Post

Once a client, now a partner-in-crime, Vanessa jumped from the agency side to join Cult Studio as our audio-post producer. With a background in advertising and documentary production, she now wrangles sound design, mixes, and casting calls. Basically, if it involves voices or vibes, Vanessa’s on it.

Melissa Hassing

Music Project Manager

Melissa has been keeping Cult Studio on beat since day one. With degrees in project management, business management, and business administration from HEC Montréal, she makes music projects run smoother than a perfect loop. When she’s not managing sound, she’s crocheting masterpieces or breaking it down as a semi-pro dancehall and K-pop dancer.

Theo Porcet

Sound Designer & Mixer

Sound designer, mixer, composer, producer; Théo wears all the hats (and makes them sound good). He’s crafted beats and soundscapes for countless films plus music videos for everyone from Fouki to Drake. He’s also released a number of EPs under his artist name Theofeels. Basically, if it makes noise, Théo makes it sing.

Gino Visconti

Sound Designer & Mixer

Gino has been fine-tuning our mixes since 2021, bringing sharp ears and endless patience to every project. Trained at Recording Arts Canada and seasoned in the music world as a producer, he’s also a screenwriter and musician, splitting his time between his band Massage Gun and solo project Boat Maker. Basically, he never stops making noise.

Casper Koopman

Music Producer & Composer

Casper joined us in 2022, trading in corporate finance for something a little more his speed. As a business lead and producer, he’s helped compose original music for the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and McLaren. He even earned himself a Juno nomination for his work on Rêve’s album, but ultimately lost to fellow Cult member Sam.

Sam Avant

Music Composer

Sam has been cooking up sounds with us since 2022, producing for a wide array of commercial projects as well as for our in-house label artists Alicia Moffet and Charlotte Cardin, snagging two Junos and a platinum album (but who’s counting?). When he’s not doing that, he’s busy being half of the music duo Beach Season.

Tanguy Meunier

Music Producer and Sound Designer

Producer, sound designer, mixer, Tanguy does it all (and makes it look easy). He’s cooked up tracks for brands like Moncler and Air Canada, and when he’s not in the studio, you’ll find him DJing or hunting down the city’s best eats. Versatile? That’s an understatement.

Charles St-André

Technical Post-Production

Since June 2023, Charles has been our behind-the-scenes lifesaver. As assistant technician and sound designer, he wrangles radio, TV distribution, and post-production with monk-like patience and laser precision. No matter the technical curveball, Charles finds a way to save the day, usually before anyone even notices there was ever a problem.

Zoé Cloutier-Boyd

Client Experience

Zoé keeps Cult Studio running smoother than a perfectly timed cue. She welcomes clients with warmth, helps out with our private chef service, and brings her fine-dining experience from Montréal’s top restaurants. Oh, and she’s also a contemporary dancer who just graced the Italian stage of Orsolina28.
